What to Expect During a Session

Upon arrival, you will be briefly interviewed about your current health. If you are a new client,
you will fill out a brief health history form prior to the interview. Based on the interview,
we will determine if massage is safe and appropriate for you at the moment,
and if so, we will plan an approach that will best suit your needs.

Once you step into the treatment room, you'll find yourself totally immersed in a relaxed atmosphere of dimmed lighting, soothing music, and a warm, comfortable table, layered with soft sheets. You will be given a few minutes alone to undress to your comfort level and to then lie in between the sheets.
I will then enter the room, ensure that you are as comfortable as possible, and begin the session.
This is your time to zone out, sleep, or even have an epiphany! As I work, I will only undrape one region of your body at a time to keep you from feeling overly exposed.

Once the session is over, I will step out of the room and
allow you time to get dressed. When you are finished, I will check in
with you about your experience before you go on your way!

You agree to notify the therapist immediately of any discomfort you may experience during the session, such as inadequate body support (bolsters, pillows, etc.), too intense a pressure, too intense a temperature (with regards to hot stone massage), or any other issues that may arise while on the massage table, as the therapist cannot be held accountable for your discomfort without proper communication on your part.
